Designed by Remy Architects the spacious home occupies and is spread across three gorgeous levels that are interconnected with a series of walkways and cleverly placed corridors.
The exterior of this cool cottage also paints a picture of textural beauty as white cedar is combined with a dash of raw exposed steel to shape a façade that would age beautifully as it wears on.
Décor is kept simple and minimal with the likes of classic Eames Lounger adding timeless appeal to an otherwise distinctly modern interior. Brilliant lighting and minimal accessories complete a Texas home that reinterprets that classic ‘courtyard house style’ by adding contemporary sheen.
This was built by Aamodt / Plumb Architects in just a matter of 12 months from the initial idea being put in place and while that might not sound all that ‘fast’ it is remarkably quick for a home of its size.
We love a house that combines local flavor with old-world inspiration and contemporary ergonomics without ever seeming out of place. The designed by inspace is one such fabulous residence nestled in the quiet seaside town of which is known for its relaxing ambiance and pine-covered cliffs.
The lowest level contains a guest room along with a laundry room and a smart hall while the first floor holds the living room kitchen and dining space. The top two levels contain the master bedroom bathrooms and additional bedrooms and offer a great view of the city landscape and beyond.
The second edifice is the main house that contains the open plan space with the living kitchen and dining areas on the lower level and the private zones on the top floor while the third building houses the laundry and home studio. This not only gives a clear delineation of functionality for each structure but also allows the architects to make the most of the available space outdoors.
