A simple pathway and an irregular ramp shape the lovely entrance to the house where a large 4-meter-tall door in local Lapacho wood greets you gleefully. Designed by Disc Interiors the fabulous house was crafted to meet the specific demands of a couple where one was a landscape architect and the other a surfer. This is precisely the reason why a love for the outdoors becomes a central yet understated part of the narrative as each room adds colors of nature in its own unique way.
With a spacious den bedroom bathroom and utility space the basement offers a private retreat for the family while connecting them to the forest landscape outside. It is the top floor that contains the living area kitchen dining space and two additional bedrooms along with a modest wooden deck.
A home that is surrounded by lush green vegetation and overlooking a meandering river does sound like an enticing prospect that none of us would shy away from. Prefabricated homes make life a lot easier for those looking to keep construction costs down even while ensuring that much of the work is done offsite. But another advantage of prefab homes is the speed that they bring to the development of a new residence; something that simply cannot be matched by on-site designs.
The is filled with ample textural beauty and exudes a relaxed modern ambiance that relies largely on the use of a neutral color scheme and wonderful natural ventilation. While the framing of the entire house was completed in no more than two weeks the off-site development was complemented by parallel foundation work on the lot ensuring that the building time was kept down to an absolute minimum.
